What to Wear in Phuket

Look It's Brooke What To Wear In Phuket

Phuket is a warm climate and feels eternally summer all year long!  There are some months to avoid as detailed in my Phuket Travel Tips post.

I would say in general, you need a few great hats for sun protection, swimsuits, cover-ups, sandals and casual evening wear.  If you are planning to attend any sacred places like temples, you will want to pack something that covers your shoulders and knees too.

Hats

I love this one because it is secretly adjustable.  It’s my favorite fedora to wear on beach days and I pack it by keeping the plastic insert it was shipped with inside it and packing swimsuits inside that so it won’t lose its shape.

I also love this one and this one.

Swimsuits

This is probably my favorite suit right now and I found it to be true to size but read the reviews before ordering.

I also love this one-piece and own this one in navy.

This is a great high-neck

This off the shoulder is really fun

I have this suit and love how sporty and it is

And this bikini is also a big favorite of mine

Cover-ups

I always feel like cover-ups should be really breathable and can easily double as your outfit for the day.  Here are some of my favorites

Long and flowy

Fun and flirty

Beachy LBD

A little warmer and sporty and looks so cute knotted at one side

And I never leave without a pair of these shorts for active days

Evening wear

It is still really casual at night around the Island and warm too!  These dresses, jumpsuits and skirts are great options for grabbing dinner and people watching.

Sandals

Good sandals are a must for Phuket.  You need to have a pair for walking and a pair for the beach/pool.

I LOVE this pair by Sorel and they are so comfy to walk in

I also love this pair and this pair

You can never go wrong with a pair of Havianas for the beach

And there are always the classic Birks

I took these water shoes with me and definitely came in handy on our boat day
